CarPIF 7 will be again a virtual peering forum which will take place online on 7th July 2021 from 9:00 am till 12:30 pm Atlantic Standard Time.
The successes of CarPIF activities are visible across the Caribbean. As we celebrate the growth in the number of external regional networks interconnecting the Caribbean internet exchange points, we know there is still much to be done.
This year, we focus on supporting that accelerated deployment of local digital services triggered by the pandemic. We also take a closer look at best practices for securing IXPs in the face of increasing cyber threats.
As the CarPIF team continue to actively monitor the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the Caribbean, we will maintain the virtual meeting only format. We trust that the CarPIF community understands that this is in the interest of the health and safety of the many people involved in staging our annual events.
As always, our goal is to allow the CarPIF community to share knowledge and experiences; to establish new peering relationships; and to extend existing arrangements beneficial to Caribbean peering landscape. Together let’s continue “expanding opportunities and increasing connections”
